The Company – Our Client:
Our Client is an independent distributor sourcing computer software and hardware products worldwide and supplying more than 2,000 dealers across the UK, Germany and France. They are well-known for their focus on products for the creative market, but many of their solutions also appeal to a far broader range of customers. They are looking for a product manager for their consumer apple range, to be based in Colindale NW London.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Represent company and support vendors at UK events/shows as required
• Analyze the performance of your vendor portfolio and use appropriate reporting tools to review performance against targets set on a weekly basis
• Develop & manage the products and vendors within your portfolio
• Manage selected vendors that meet agreed criteria, as well as all new Apple Store vendors during their launch phase until pre agreed handover into other business units where applicable.
• In conjunction with your manager, create sales & marketing programmes for relevant vendors
• Drive the success of companies programmes ensuring that company is recognised as a centre of competence
• Ensure the relevant product content is supplied to marketing to an agreed timescale
• Develop marketing plans in line with vendor and companies objectives
• Identify new vendors and ensure recruitment is followed through with BGM.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
• At least 2 years product management or product marketing experience within the consumer hardware industry.
• Strong product knowledge of Apple products especially ipod
• Ideally you will have a marketing qualification - CIM
• Can demonstrate an excellent level of negotiation and communication skills
• Excellent at building customer relationships experience in the IT channel at distributor level
What You Could Earn:
• Basic up to £30,000 + £5,700 car allowance or company car
• Quarterly bonus capped at £15,000
