| Job Title: Electronics Design Engineer |
| Description |
| Electronics Design Engineer
Our client has an innovative gas sensor for carbon dioxide selling to a worldwide market. To help develop the next generation of these technology-leading sensors, they need an experienced electronics engineer to work on the development of the next generation of their sensor.
The key technical skills required are:
• low noise analogue circuit design (ideally with experience of photodiode amplifiers)
• low power circuit design
• micro-controller firmware and hardware as part of a low noise measurement circuit.
The next generation of sensors require improvements in noise level, power consumption and stability over time and temperature. They have challenging targets which will require detailed application of precision techniques.
It would be an advantage to have experience with lock-in amplifier/phase sensitive detector techniques and battery powered devices.
The devices are costs sensitive components so an appreciation of cost engineering is also important.
It would also be an advantage to be able to communicate with senior technologists and engineers at customer sites.
The position is full time and is based on the outskirts of Glasgow.
