The essential requirements for the job role would be: • the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines • the ability to analyse data to identify emerging trends • the ability to evaluate documentary evidence against Government funding guidance requirements • the ability to provide critical but constructive feedback • the ability to identify and implement effective solutions to identified problems • the ability to work using own initiative • an effective and supportive team player • advanced report writing skills • good verbal communication skills • self-starter • previous experience of working within the work-based learning sector • good time management • flexible approach to working location (full coverage of England required) as there will be a requirement to work away from home • competent IT user in Word, Excel and PowerPoint • full, clean driving license • an in-depth knowledge of Scottish funding requirements (for applicants for the Scottish auditor vacancy only) The desirable requirements for the job role would be: • qualified auditor (ISO 9001) • internal verifier background • an awareness of Ofsted inspection requirements • an awareness of external quality standards i.e. IIP, TQS, Customer First, Matrix • experience of coaching, mentoring and training staff • an awareness of Every Child Matters and Safeguarding requirements • experience of carrying out graded observations of key learning processes / learner journey
