Personal Injury Technical Claims Handler
Salary: £23,000 - £31,000
Location: Bristol
We are currently recruiting for an expanding Insurance Company in Bristol for a Personal Injury Claims handler to deal with complex personal injury claims.
Responsibilities:
Handling personal injury claims of all types, particularly those of high value, in a cost effective manner in accordance with the group guidelines, procedures and claims philosophy
Handling, with reference to HO Claims, cases exceeding regional authority
Deciding on legal liability and policy liability issues
Compliance with all regulatory and internal systems controls
Identifying cases which may be suitable for the group fraud and rehabilitation programmes
Authorisation of cheques within laid down guidelines
Handling litigation and fraud cases
Assisting with referral and training of less experienced members of the team
Deputising for senior colleagues
Skills:
A commitment to the importance of customer care
First class written and verbal communication skills
Experience in dealing with personal injury claims
Sound judgement and strong negotiating skills
Good organisational skills
A strong working knowledge of CPR rules and time limits
The ability to meet challenging deadlines and department quality and service standards
Experience of Managing a caseload of Personal Injury Claims
