Commercial Claims Handler
Location: Gloucester
Salary: £18,000 - £25,000 + Benefits
Manage a portfolio of personal injury claims from notification through to settlement. You will be tasked with handling a caseload of Employers Liability / Public Liability and Property claims from inception through to completion
Responsibilities:
Provide all customers, both internal and external with the highest possible level of service.
Handle claims in accordance with Departmental procedures
Investigate claims promptly and thoroughly to ensure claims fall within the policy cover
Action all work queue items within departmental guidelines
Maintain accurate and up to date reserves that reflect the companies true liabilities on each claim
Proactively manage each case to ensure claims are settled in the shortest possible time
To assist colleagues where required to ensure department objectives are achieved
Skills:
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Knowledge of insurance through to professionals
A good understanding of a Personal Injury claims environment including relevant
Good organisational skills
Fraud awareness
Can demonstrate ability to resolve conflict in an effective manner
Good computer knowledge
Ability to handle with minimal supervision injury claims designated as “Small” and “Fast” track under the Civil Procedure Rules
