| Job Title: Recruitment Consultant |
| Description |
My successful recruitment company is looking to recruit a Recruitment Manager. Your basic recruitment role is to attract candidates and match them to catering jobs in client companies for permanent positions. These jobs can vary from entry-level roles such as commis chef and housekeeper to head chefs and hotel managers. You will screen candidates, interview them face to face where necessary, register and reference them in accordance with our set standards in compliance with REC, finally make recommendations to our clients. You should also provide advice to both clients and candidates on salary levels, training requirements and career opportunities. You will need to understand and learn how to manage our relief team desk, and will be responsible for it during the relief desk manager’s absence. By working closely with the relief manager, you will be able to help each other’s desks work more effectively and profitably, as there is a considerable cross over between the two sectors.
You will consult with existing client companies, building relationships in order to gain a better understanding of their recruitment needs and requirements. Business development is also an essential function of your job, therefore you will want to attract new clients and reconnect with previous clients.
Your role will be demanding and diverse, involving: using sales, business development and marketing techniques in order to attract business from client companies building relationships with clients developing a good understanding of what client companies do and their work culture advertising vacancies appropriately by drafting and placing adverts using a wide range of media, ensuring we are compliant with all relevant legislation receiving and reviewing applications, managing interviews and short-listing candidates checking references and suitability of applicants before referral to employers for interview; arranging interviews for the right candidates with the clients preparing résumés and correspondence to forward to clients in respect of suitable applicants informing candidates about the results of their interviews and confirming job offers negotiating pay and salary rates and finalising arrangements between clients and candidates following up placements to ensure satisfactory results, iron out teething problems and promote further sales opportunities reviewing recruitment policies to ensure effectiveness of selection techniques and recruitment procedures Ensuring your desk(s) are kept up to date with filing and administration tasks at all times
My clients are well known as a specialist catering recruitment agency, but are now looking to expand their client base into other employment sectors. Your recruitment background may well help us to achieve this aim, and you would be provided with support to facilitate this. This as a great further opportunity for you to develop your income and place on the team. |
