Job Title: Pricing Manager/Analyst
Description
My client is a leading Banking /Financial services business and as a result of growth now require an additional member to join the team. The Pricing Manager is responsible for the delivery of pricing within Global Services. Managing and delivering pricing relating to RFIs, RFPs, contract renewals, new product/service definition and contributing directly to our profitability . Responsibility for pricing activities covering all markets managed by Global Services including credit card processing (consumer, commercial, private label), debit card processing, prepaid processing, acquirer processing, value added products and additional services (e.g. print, plastics). Close working relationship will be required with our management team. The Pricing Manager will deputise for the Pricing Director as and when required. The Pricing Manager is responsible for pricing activities relating to new name sales: Ensuring that we continues to book profitable clients. This requires careful and structured management of pricing inputs, the pricing modeling and the P&L. Taking a client-view of the pricing in order to position us to win new business whilst taking a our-view of the pricing to maintain margin on each deal. Ensuring stakeholder buy-in to various components of the pricing model (e.g. resource plans, development costs, dealpoints) and seeking approval where needed. This will require matrix management, often involving our staff globally. Meeting with sales prospects globally to (a) ensure that they fully understand all our pricing offer and (b) to support any pricing negotiation activities. Supporting the full end-to-end pricing lifecycle up to and including support of the contract negotiation. Responsible for delivering pricing across multiple markets and ensuring the approach to pricing takes into consideration local market conditions and cultures. Responsible for pricing activities relating to existing client sales. This will vary in complexity depending upon the nature of the sale - i.e. contract renewal vs cross selling of additional products: Where the project is a contract renewal, to ensure that we continue to process each client profitably. Where the project involves cross-selling additional products/services to an existing client ensure that the provision of those services enhances our overall profitability . ·Ensuring stakeholder buy-in to various components of the pricing model (e.g. resource plans, development costs, dealpoints) and seeking approval where needed. This will require matrix management, often involving our staff globally. Meeting with clients globally to ensure that they fully understand all our pricing offer and to support any pricing negotiation activities. Supporting the full end-to-end pricing lifecycle up to and including support of the contract negotiation. To deliver pricing across multiple markets to ensure that the approach to pricing takes into consideration local market conditions and cultures. Contribute to the definition of all new product and service prices within Global Services: The definition of product pricing strategies - e.g. menu tariff vs fixed / bundled, e.g. single country v multi-country v multi-region. Participation within the Pricing Committee. Ensuring that all new products are fully defined, costed and priced. ·Participation in negotiations with third parties regarding pricing structures in regards to sub contracting, taking the lead in negotiations where necessary and as appropriate. Maintain a knowledge of current client contracts that might influence the direction of any new pricing submissions or any revisions to existing contracted pricing. Key considerations include factors such as most favoured nations / benchmarking clauses. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our pricing process . Implementation of a structured process for pricing. Implementation of regular updates to pricing models and costs - e.g. to reflect the introduction of new products/services, the impact of currency exchange rates, changes in costs as a result of scaling and 360o feedback. The Pricing Manager is responsible for ensuring that all pricing activities adhere to the required internal and corporate standards and targets. Maintaining strong version control with documented change management. Ensuring sign off.
